Summer sneaked out alright, but the tomatoes did not. Not here. That is why I love Texas. While we simmer in the summer heat, the fall is the time to really be outside and enjoy, more like what you call “summer” else where.
Chocolate and Orange is a devilish and yet a morish combination. Of all the ways I love my cakes, the refreshing flavor of strong citrus has to be the best.
Summer is officially coming to an end. However Texas is not ready for fall; we are still in high nineties leaving the 3 digit temperatures just a week behind. The markets are still exhibiting the pretty colors and all the fruits and berries you can ask for and at very reasonable price.
The best chocolate cake I have ever made, seriously! Dark, moist, fluffy and a very subtle flavor of coffee is what gives this cake all the glamor that a chocolate cake may deserve.
