Family picnics in the farm, pumpkin picking, hay rides, maizes; this is probably a very pretty time of the year, full of action & excitement. We have already guessed the weight of that humongous, misshapen pumpkin in our local farmer’s market, & dropped the paper in the box.
Synonymous with memories of back home, games, circus, picnics, cocktail & rainy day snacks and, of course, peanut butter sandwiches now, peanuts are an all time favorite among us.
Very subtly different from the Biryani is a Pilaf/Pulao. While Biryani is a rich, exotic delicacy created & served with a regal fervor; redolent with beautiful spices & packed the wonderful & unforgettable flavors, lip smacking goodness & heart warming memories – the Pilaf/Pulao is a more simple version of this royal dish. Yes we have said adieu to summer, there is a slight nip in the air, & I love it. My yard looks bathed, happy & fresh. Finally it is sinking in that Fall is here. The tomatoes are growing, so are the bell peppers & hot peppers & other little things.
