First I started reading Meeta’s post with curiosity, then I was in for some surprise,\u00a0later came the \u00a0total disbelief when I saw my name was up there along with an excerpt of my email to Meeta. She\u00a0had sent me a sweet email too, but I happened to be in her blog even before I saw\u00a0her mail. \u00a0My entry to HHDD #25 – <\/strong>Shrimp Satay – Grilling with Almond Satay Sauce<\/strong> <\/a>was\u00a0the overall winner! There were awesome entries in both the sweet<\/a> & savory<\/a> categories, & my humble thanks to all those liked mine. After the initial few seconds of thrill of the win wore off, & I realized\u00a0that I \u00a0have to host\u00a0HHDD #26<\/strong>, the nervousness &\u00a0intimidation kicked in, for during these few months of blogging I have never even given any thought about hosting an event. But I am sure with all your support I will make this happen:-)<\/p>\n

[I am sending a Big Bag of Thanks to Bron, who\u00a0guided me though this “apparently” \u00a0simple task of posting this announcement for HHDD #26.]<\/p>\n

I get to select one recipe from Donna Hay<\/span> <\/a>& I selected\u00a0Chicken & Roasted Capsicum Pasta<\/strong><\/a>. Why ? Well, because this is a wonderful all inclusive meal. With the\u00a0fast forward\u00a0life style I am (I am sure everyone out there\u00a0is too)\u00a0always looking for recipes\u00a0that are not elaborate, uses a lot of fresh ingredients & where the basic recipe can be easily customized.\u00a0Whether it be for family, a friend or for entertaining, this looked like a\u00a0colorful & flavorful fast spring time meal with\u00a0fresh roasted tomatoes, capsicum\/peppers(which I love) & herbs.\u00a0Simple recipes like this give so much space to add your own imagination… so common everyone show\u00a0us what you can do with it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Here are the Rules for Participating for HHDD:<\/em><\/strong><\/th>\n<\/tr>\n
Hay Hay it\u2019s Donna Day is open to all food and wine bloggers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Entries submitted for HHDD must be made specifically for the current round of this event, although photos may be submitted to photo competitions such as DMBLGIT(Does My Blog Look Good In This.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Entrants must include a link<\/strong> to the host<\/strong> and Bron – the facilitator<\/strong> <\/a>(link to : http:\/\/bronmarshall.com\/?page_id=1011<\/a>) in their entry post.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Entries can be made at any time once the event has been announced, but must be posted and emailed to the host by the closing date.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The host then assembles all the entries together into a roundup, from where the participants<\/strong> of the round vote to elect a new host (the winner) for the following event.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

A Few Other Things to Remember:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
For all those we want to make a Vegetarian version of this, you are very welcome to do so. Add the beans or the tofu or whatever you can think of to substitute the chicken.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
While you are allowed to “personalize” this, do keep the theme & procedure of the original recipe in mind.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
* It is NOT a creamy, cheesy, or cooked in the Sauce Pasta dish. It’ s more like\u00a0a Fresh & Flavorful Salad.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
* It is\u00a0NOT a Baked or Layered Pasta dish.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
* Please\u00a0 use some\u00a0kind of Roasted Capsicum\/Bell Pepper\/Pepper (any kind & color)\u00a0in it, as this is the main ingredient that adds the flavor & taste to the dish. You are free to add other veggies…<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
* Please do include some fresh Herbs & get creative in dressing the pasta.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
