Paneer Makhani or Butter Paneer is yet another well known north Indian classic. Cubes of succulent home made cheese are simmered in a creamy, tomato sauce. Anyone who is familiar with Indian cuisine, would not have missed this rich flavorful dish.
The devil of the winter is back and has a big table of a variety of wintry mix for us. Snow, ice, sleet, freezing rain, howling winds – you name it, and we have it!
Yellow mung dal/lentils are roasted till aromatic and then cooked with spinach and tempered with spices. A comfort food which brings on warm fuzzy feelings.
Yes we have said adieu to summer, there is a slight nip in the air, & I love it. My yard looks bathed, happy & fresh. Finally it is sinking in that Fall is here. The tomatoes are growing, so are the bell peppers & hot peppers & other little things.
